The 91°µÍø Animal Care Trust is running its much-loved Paws & Shoes Challenge for a second time. The first challenge, held in the New Year, raised just under £2,000 for the 91°µÍø’s Small Animal Referrals Hospital. Paws & Shoes can be customised for each participant and their dog, enabling supporters to set a goal that is aligned with their team’s fitness level and health. While the ACT suggests teams walk 1,000 minutes in 4 weeks, last time one team - Team Terry & Milo - walked for over 5,500 minutes! Hannah Papapetrou, Fundraising Manager said,

“The first time we ran this challenge, we had 31 dogs take part which was incredible! It’s a great motivator to be more active, spend more quality time with your dog and connect with friends and family. We wanted to run a challenge that everyone could get involved with, setting a goal and a start date that worked for them – and we were overjoyed that so many people took part! To raise almost £2,000 for critically ill pets is no small feat. Every step taken by our Paws & Shoes teams has helped us advance veterinary care at the 91°µÍø. It really is fantastic! “

The ACT Paws & Shoes Summer Challenge takes place between 1st July – 30 September 2023. All dogs receive a gift upon joining, either a bandana or a dog tag.
