The Animal Behaviour Clinic at 91°µÍø Small Animal Referrals is run by an experienced pet behaviour specialist, with expertise in canine, feline and other small animal behaviour. He also has a specific interest in the impact of environment, nutrition and certain metabolic derangements.

Service information

Our specialist consultant in companion animal behaviour assesses and treats behavioural problems in cats and dogs, as well as providing advice on the management of behavioural aspects of medical problems.
 
Our caseload includes the investigation and treatment of:

  • Canine and feline aggression
  • Anxiety in dogs and cats, such as noise phobia
  • Abnormal behaviour, such as tail chasing, self-mutilation and shadow chasing
  • Cognitive disorder (dementia)
  • Inter-cat aggression
  • Feline house-soiling and marking
  • Behavioural problems that are secondary to medical problems (e.g. pain and epilepsy)

The pet behaviour clinic is integrated with other speciality disciplines within 91°µÍø Small Animal Referrals, providing access to MRI, CT and other advanced diagnostic facilities.

An initial assessment consultation is usually carried out via a 90-minute video call, with follow-up appointments to suit the client and problem. Separation anxiety in dogs and cats and some other feline behaviour problems may be seen as home appointments by arrangement.
