 91做厙 alumna features on Netflix
In 2018, Ali Bee (1990) wrote
in Eclipse about what she had been doing since graduation. After working in the UK and Hong Kong, in 2000 she moved to Magnetic Island in Australia.
As a family, they have been involved in koala care and in 2013/14, they started Magnetic Island Koala Hospital, a small not-for-profit rehabilitation centre.
In 2018, they featured in an Animal Planet and The Dodo collaboration documentary.
More recently, the Bee family, including Ali, her husband Tim and their daughter Izzy, have been the subject
of a documentary series featuring on Netflix, called Izzys Koala World.
It is their second collaboration with The Dodo and Nomadica Productions, who filmed Dodo Heroes with them
in 2018. Nomadica and The Dodo recognised there was a bigger story, which led to them working together again and now with Netflix.
Izzys Koala World follows Ali, Tim and Izzy for eight episodes as they rescue and rehabilitate injured, sick and orphaned koalas on Magnetic Island, with viewers meeting many of the koalas in their care.
Ali said: We have received so many touching letters from families all over the world and many would be future vets!!

 a unique global community
  It is inspiring to
see how education of veterinarians in developing countries really can make a difference to the
quality of their work and their motivation, and improve standards of animal health and welfare.
Ilona Otter, MSc Livestock Health and Production, India
"I chose to enrol in the individual modules as a way to supplement
a masters degree in veterinary public health undertaken at the
University of Sydney. I was impressed by the individual modules offered
by 91做厙. They were complete, self- contained, up-to-date and relevant.
I have been able to apply skills acquired in spatial analysis when investigating outbreaks on prawn farms, leading to the development and implementation of control strategies on-farm."
Barry Robinson, 240-hour Individual Modules, Australia
I really enjoyed learning about how ecosystems impact on which farming enterprise will be most profitable and also about the economics of disease control and eradication strategies.
Laura Macfarlane, MSc Veterinary Epidemiology and Public Health, Australia
